Bring Snacks : With The Holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas) coming down the road the next few months, We (The association) invite the membership and their spouses/guests to bring their favorite Holiday Treat. Homemade would be great (Cookies, Cheese balls, Fudge. ETC.) to bring to the Hospitality room (with Mini Fridge) and membership meeting for us all to enjoy. A tasty dish to pass around and a cost savings to us all. We have bought these things at the local supermarket but it is not the same as home made. If you plan on bring something let me know etc., so we can shop according....And bring your recipe to share too!
Tours:The tours of the US Capital have been set and are as follows, because of the large group, (we gave them a count of 60 people) we have been divided into two (2) groups of 30 each:
- The first group will tour the Capital at 2:05pm on October 11, 2007..
- The second group will tour the Capital at 2:20pm on October 11, 2007..
- At the start of each tour we must be present and ready 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
- If we are late and can't start at the tour time, we will be cancelled..
- Also, at the completion of each tour, we will be given passes to the gallery, may even see your congressman in action. these passes will be handed out after the tour..
The White House Tour, will be late in the morning on October 11. 2007. This tour has not been approved yet, however, once approved, We will need the following info for submittal for clearance:
- A listing of each person taking the tour, Listing their first and last names.
- Their date of birth.
- Their social security number...
- This listing must be provided well in advance before the tour date...
- So please summit this list of requirements to me and I will send it Joe Arbaiza (who is in charge of the paper work and who has worked real hard in putting this all together, Hotel and Tours). Let's help Joe out by getting this information to me by the end of next week so I can put a list together for him to give to his congressman's tour coordinator..
- The white house reserves the right to cancel us, should the tour conflict with events in the President's agenda or schedule in the house...
