Reservations here or elsewhere are at your own expense.
We are planning one or two tours during this event. There is also a possibility that our Ship's Store will be present during this reunion.

To attend this reunion you must be an up to date member. Those of you who still haven't, or know that your dues will soon be due: PLEASE PAY YOUR DUES by September 1, 2006. As a reminder, dues are $15 the first year and $10 each year after until you’ve paid $100. Or you can pay $100 all at once.
Fees for attending the reunion and banquet are: $65 for members, $55 for spouses and $50 for guests. Issue your payment to USS Kennebec Assoc.

Tenative Itinerary
We are planning to have another Silent Auction this year. Everyone welcome. Please bring your donations with you and forward descriptive information and value to Jim Shurmack so a slip can be created prior to the banquet. Do this by mail, email or phone. This is another way for the Association to make money.
Tenative for Thursday, October 26th:
- 8:30 Tour to Tijuana if attendance is there.
- Hospitality room is open from 5pm to 9pm.
- Registration of members, spouses and guests. Name tags distributed.
- Assorted beverages and pastries will be provided by the Association.
- There will be a notebook available for members to write their room numbers and messages to each other. The notebook will also serve as the registration book.
Tenative for Friday, October 27th:
- Midway tour leaves at approximately 9:00 am
- Hospitality room is open from 8am to 10am and 3pm to 5pm or longer if interest is shown.
Tenative for Saturday, October 28th:
- 9am: Association officers meeting
- 9:30 – 12am: Association membership meeting. Assorted beverages and pastries will be provided by the Association.

c. Individual officers reports, questions and answers
d. Nomination of officers to serve from January 1 through December, 2007
e. Election of officers to serve from January 1 through December, 2007 f. 2007 reunion discussion and voting results.

Pictures will be taken:
- Be there at 5:00pm
- Shipmates who came aboard from 1942-57
- Shipmates who came aboard from 1961-65
- Shipmates who came aboard from 1966-70
- All spouses and guests
Tenative Evening Schedule :
- 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Evening banquet activities begin with a Social Hour and Pictures will be taken. Gary Schlagel, Association president will emcee
- 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Silent auction. Please take items won with you or you will be charged for shipping.
- 5:59 pm: One minute of silence for all shipmates who are no longer with us.
- 6:00 – 7:30 pm: Reunion Banquet Dinner
- 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm: Cash bar
- 10:30 pm: Reunion officially ends. Banquet room will close.
- POST REUNION: All members will be mailed color group photos of all reunion attendees.
NOTES
1) For the health and comfort of everyone, smoking is not permitted in the hospitality room and meeting/banquet rooms.
2) Name badges provided at the hospitality room registration table are required for entrance to the hospitality room, membership meeting room and banquet room to ensure only Association members, wives and guests are utilizing resources.
3) Non-members may join the Association during the reunion, pay their membership dues, full reunion fee and attend all activities through Saturday’s membership meeting. The banquet may be attended but the meal will be served only upon approval of the hotel catering manager for meal availability.
4) Dress is strictly casual until 5:30 pm Saturday. For the photo sessions and banquet, we request minimum apparel for the ladies of dresses or slacks. for the gentlemen, long pants and shirt or sweater. Jackets and ties optional as are military uniforms and tuxedos.
5) Due to cost and liability issues, alcohol will not be served by the Association but will be permitted in the hospitality room. It will also be available at a cash bar at the banquet.
