Reports Received Since Oct. 2014 through Sept. 2015:

To all our fellow Shipmates: Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas!, Happy Holidays!, and Happy New Year! We hope you each feel happy, healthy and blessed!!

We hope each of our fellow shipmates had a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends
We received word that Kenneth "Van" A. Van Lare, QMSN, Aboard 1953-54, passed away on Nov. 12, 2015. Our Sympathy goes to his family and friends.

Thank you to all the people, and Shipmates who helped to make our 2015 USS Kennebec Association Reunion successful and enjoyable. It was a pleasure for those who were able to come, to enjoy each others company again!

The Reunion is coming soon, our Assoc. Sec. Erv, will keep you posted of any updates.

With all the not good events going on, and the loss of lives of our fellow service men here on our home soil. Please take a moment of silence in memory of these good people.

We received word from Marjorie, the wife of shipmate Donald P. Leatherwood, BT1, that he passed away on December 05, 2014. He served aboard the Kennebec from Aug.'69 until she was taken out of commission in '70. Our sympathy goes to his wife, family and friends.

To Those who believe, we hope you are having a Blessed Easter. And to all of you, we hope you are enjoying a beautiful spring.
There is newly posted information about the 2015 Reunion Hotel accommodations in the membership area.
We received word from Larry's daughter, Katrina See, that our fellow shipmate Lawrence "Larry" C. See, MM3, Aboard 1965-68 passed away on Nov. 17, 2014. Our sympathy and prayers go to Larry's family and friends.

Spring is coming soon! Don't forget to mark your calendar for our Oct, 14-17, 2015 Reunion, to be held at New Orleans, LA.
We received word from Karen Harding, daughter of our Life Member 95, Lester Daddario, BTB3, Aboard 51-53. That he passed away after a long illness in Feb. 26th of this year. Our thoughts and prayers are with Karen and her family.

This is the month to love and appreciate all the special people in our lives. Be sure to let those people know your appreciate them, and Happy Valentine Day!
Mark your Calendar! It's official, the USS Kennebec Association Board of Directors have announced that the next Assoc. Reunion will be held in New Orleans, LA, October 14-17, 2015. The Reunion Committee will be working on the details and we will be posting announcements as these details start to shape up for this annual event.

Happy New Year to all our Shipmates!
Your thoughts and/or prayers would be appreciated again for the family and friends of our Association Life Member #202. Lee Bostic, MM2, Aboard 1964-65, had passed away. His funeral included full military honors. We will certainly miss his smiling face at our annual reunions.
