Merry Christmas, Holiday Greetings, and Happy New Year to our fellow Shipmates and visitors. May this special time of the year be full of Blessings for you, your family, and friends.
Thank You! To Shipmates, Spouses, friends and family, who were able to make it to our annual reunion held at Albuquerque, NM. Also, Thank You! To all the people who "pitched in" to help make the reunion possible.
Along with the regular annual reunion schedule, there was plenty of shopping in old town Albuquerque and Santa Fe along with excellent tours of both cities.
Our 2012 Reunion will be held in Memphis, TN in October. More details to be posted as they become available.
For those who celebrate Thanks Giving: While you give Thanks to God, may your holiday in appreciation be blessed with the warmth of family and friends.

Our sincere sympathy to Marcia Malles. Also family, and friends on the passing of our Assoc. Life Member and Shipmate, Larry "Smiley" Malles, SN, Aboard 1963-66. Larry passed away from a heart attack on July 27, 2011.

Received word that shipmate SN Jerry M. Campbell - Aboard 1969, passed away on June 28, 2011. This sad news was report by his fellow shipmate, brother, and Assoc. Member, Danny Campbell. Our sincere condolences go to Jerry's wife and children, and the rest of Jerry's family and friends.

Received word from Captain Frank "Delo" Delorenzo's daughter-inlaw, Linda: "I wanted to let you know that Capt Frank "Delo" DeLorenzo passed away in late May (May 16, 2011). At 96, he lived a full and happy life." Frank was aboard 1961-62. He was a Life and Charter Member of the USS Kennebec Assoc. Our sincere sympathy goes to his family and friends.

We received word from Ross's wife Wilma, that Ross Gilstrap, RM2, Aboard 1943-1945, Assoc. Life Member #164, had passed away 3/27/11. Our sympathy goes to his wife, family and friends.
We received second hand word (Donald W. Ashe via Benjamin's daughter Debra) that shipmate Benjamin Lowrimore, SA, Aboard 1953-54, passed away on April 29, 2010. Our sincere sympathy to Benjamin's family and friends.
We received word (via Smokey's daughter-in-law Laurie Harmon) that shipmate and past Assoc. Member, Albert R. "Smokey" Harmon, Jr., HM3, Aboard 1968-69, had passed away on January 10, 2011. Our sincere sympathy also goes to Smokey's family and friends.
Shipmate and Life Assoc. Member, Ronald A. Zinkl - SA, Aboard 1953, had passed away on March 15, 2011. We were informed by Ronald's twin brother Don. Our sincere sympathy goes Don, and to the rest Ronald's family and friends.
Don't forget your sweethearts on Feb. 14th! Grandkids, great-grandkids, the kids, the Mrs., or special someone. They all need to know they are special.
